Iceland Airwaves 2016 Preview: Vok (LISTEN)

We’re headed to Airwaves to cover Iceland Airwaves Music Festival and other cultural stories beginning Sunday, 10/30! Follow along on our adventures via our Iceland Airwaves 2016 daily blog and hear a preview interview with a band performing at the 2016 Iceland Airwaves Music Festival below.

Vök’s music echoes the vastness of Iceland, along with its unending beauty. Vök’s music is dark and melodic, yet is soothing to the soul. Andri Enoksson plays the saxophone in Vök and he talks about how the name of the band relates to their music and the evolution of Vök, amongst other things.

Vök will be playing at Iceland Airwaves on Friday, November 4, at the Reykjavik Art Museum at 9:50 p.m.
