Iceland Airwaves Day Five (11/8): The Blue Lagoon

Today we journeyed to The Blue Lagoon. It was an amazingly beautiful drive, with mountains throughout the distance. There were lava fields scattered everywhere the eye could see, green moss covering and contrasting against the dark lava rock.

The lagoon was wonderful and warm. The steam off the turquoise water drifted through the air. It was a great way to relax as the week has come to an end. There even was a waterfall there, which I was super stoked about.

Also, food highlights of the day: I tried fermented shark, and it was awful. But I did eat at the really awesome burger joint I’ve been dreaming about.
